Recently, our team of stained glass specialists at Steve Sherriff Stained Glass were honoured to produce a custom stained glass window for All Saints Church in Milford on Sea. This window was created especially for the Cornwallis Remembrance celebrations, where locals commemorate the life of Sir William Cornwallis. He was one of Milford-on-Sea’s most famous figures, having fought in the Royal Navy and seen as one of the greatest admirals in history.
Getting to Work
We felt privileged to be a part of this event due to its poignancy within the local community. To get started, we visited All Saints Church to take the exact measurements required for the window. We then went back to our workshop in Wimborne to begin manufacturing the stained glass window. Each piece of the glass was individually crafted and carefully painted by our workshop team. The panels were then fused together through heat to make up the final design.
The custom stained glass panel now sits proudly in All Saints Church and is highly respected by proud locals of Milford on Sea. Members of the church and village community were very pleased with the finished result.
