Conservation Grade Double Glazing Installation In Guildford, Surrey

The Brief

The client tasked Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists to install Conservation Grade Double Glazing in a private residence in Guildford, Surrey. The project involved restoring original metal window frames and replacing leaded lights for new conservation grade double glazing.

Getting To Work

At Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists, we perform all leaded window and metal window frame repairs using techniques we have developed over years of experience. Once we had a clear idea of what the client wanted to achieve, we recommended our metal frame restoration process while using our bespoke handmade heritage double glazed units.

Installing double glazing for listed buildings is a tricky process as we need to ensure we retain the character and aesthetic of the historical building. We make all of our Conservation Grade Double Glazing Units in our purpose-built workshops in Dorset. The replacement windows we installed
are thermally efficient using a Low E glass to help reduce heat loss.

The design of our Conservation Grade Double Glazing closely mimics traditional leaded light windows. This keeps the character of your listed building intact.

The Result

Once we had finished the metal window frame repair and installed the replacement conservation grade double glazing, the client was happy to have kept the original aesthetics yet added amenity to their home.
