Leaded Windows & Metal and Wooden Window Frames - The White House, Headley

The Brief‍

We were tasked with producing 33 new leaded windows and 6 new hard wooden window frames. The wood replacement windows were to be fitted along with 3 refurbished satin black metal casement windows. The latter required metal window repairs, so we took these with us to our workshop in Dorset.

‍Getting to Work

‍Each leaded glass window is hand made in our workshop. Once complete, we manufactured 6 new hard wood replacement window frames using Accyoa hard wood, which is responsibly sourced timber, to replace the old rotten frames which were beyond repair. As this property has a mixture of wooden and metal window frames, we refurbished the metal opening frames by bead blasting the old paint work away and then applying a Zinc rich primer. Once dry, the satin black top coat was applied to complete and finalise the metal window repairs.

‍The Result

‍Their windows of their home have remained characteristic, and the quality and lifetime has been extended and preserved.
