We were contacted by Bedales School to produce replacement casement windows and fit them to the period house on campus. So that the casement windows matched the existing frames, oak casement windows were chosen. To complement the period property, heritage glass was used.
Getting to Work
We cut each pane of heritage glass by hand on site, before using a linseed oil putty to bed the glass panes to the new oak casement windows. Each casement window was hung to the existing frames and fitted with new draught excluder to increase amenity during the winter months.
We produced truly bespoke casement windows for Bedales School! The choice of oak casement windows married with the existing wooden window frames, and they complement the dark cladding on the period property.
