Stained Glass Window Restoration in Bournemouth, Dorset

The Brief

For this job, our family run team at Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists were asked to remove, repair, and reinstall eight encapsulated stained glass windows in a private home based in Bournemouth, Dorset.

Getting To Work

Before starting work for any client, we make sure we have a clear idea of what they would like to do with their stained glass windows. This client needed help restoring each of the stained glass panels all around the house and for added amenity. The existing panels in this house were in desperate need of stained glass window repair. The first step of any stained glass window repair is removing them from the frame and taking them back to our workshop. Once in the workshop, our stained glass specialists can set to work repairing any cracked or broken fragments of glass and replacing the lead work. When each panel is fully remade and cemented before we encapsulate them within a double glazed unit making them triple glazing with many added thermal benefits yet retaining the original look of the property.

The Result

Once our stained glass specialists had refitted all eight encapsulated stained glass windows the result was very impressive. Not only does stained glass window repair improve the aesthetic of a house, but it also makes the windows more thermally efficient. The client was very happy with how the stained glass windows looked once they were reinstalled. If you are interested in stained glass window repair or restoration, speak to one of the team at Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists.
