Church Leaded Window Repair – St Mary’s Church, Shroton, Dorset
The Brief
We were recently tasked with a fantastic leaded windows project at St. Mary’s Church in Shroton, Dorset. This quaint Grade I listed building required church window repair and re-leading, ensuring the windows looked as good as new and improving their longevity.
Getting to Work
Our experienced leaded windows specialists got to work straight away on this exciting project. Upon arriving at the church, we found that four trefoil church windows were damaged. These were removed and taken back to our workshop in Wimborne so the hard work could properly get started.
To start the church leaded window repair process, any missing or cracked glass was replaced to ensure the panels were perfectly intact. Then, we re-leaded the panels so that these leaded windows would be structurally strong for the long-term future. The panels were refitted into brand new satin black powder coated ferramenta for a traditional finish.
The Result
After the leaded window repair work was complete, St. Mary’s Church had a wonderful new look that emphasised its character. We are looking forward to viewing these leaded windows in their new, beautiful condition for years to come.
