Leaded Stained Glass Door Panels – Crofton House, Teddington

The Brief

‍Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists Stained Glass Specialists recently took on a project at Crofton House in Teddington, London. This homeowner wanted to improve the durability and safety of their existing stained and leaded glass front door. Our team knew exactly what to do in order to deliver the brief and were excited to get started.

‍Getting to Work

‍To secure the existing stained glass door, we realised that the best solution would be to fit four external clear toughened glass panels. We got to work of by visiting the property to take the initial measurements of the stained glass panels. This enabled us to cut and process the toughened panels of glass to the exact sizes we needed. Once the toughened panels were ready, we revisited the property to install the panels into place. These were fitted externally to the stained glass door panels, preserving their beauty and increasing longevity. We also fitted a draught excluder to improve insulation.

‍The Result

‍This front door now has increased amenity, security and insulation due to the added protection the toughened panels of glass offer.
