Leaded Windows & Metal Window Frames - Boldre, Lymington
The Brief
We were asked to carry out the window work at this newly purchased Manor House in the New Forest. The work requested was 31 new leaded windows and 12 refurbished satin black metal window frames.
Getting to Work
Each leaded glass window was manufactured in our Dorset workshop, as well as the metal window repairs. For the metal window frames, we used metal-coating paints that are specially designed to provide long-term protection from rust and weathering. Once complete, we went back to the property to re-fit the leaded windows and complete their perfect new home.
The Result
A new leaded window has a life span of roughly 100 years in typical conditions, continuing the period look of this Manor House for years to come.
