Victorian Stained Glass & Lead Windows Restoration – Mayfield Road, Portsmouth

The Brief

‍As we are stained glass specialists with 30 years of experience, we were asked to provide our lead window restoration services to give the Victorian stained glass windows at a house on Mayfield Road, Portsmouth a new lease of life.

‍Getting to Work

‍We carefully removed each stained glass panel and transported them to our workshop in Dorset, where we catalogued each pane of the Victorian stained glass windows.

To prep for the lead window restoration, we stripped out the existing lead work. As leaded window repair was required, we matched the cracked and missing pieces of glass to our own vast stock of stained glass. Each panel was then re-leaded and re-fitted along with two new wooden casements.

‍The restored Victorian leaded stained glass windows transform the entrance to the home, providing an eye-catching window display for every visitor to behold.
