Leaded Stained Glass Door Panels – Queens Park Avenue, Bournemouth

The Brief

‍Our team of stained glass specialists were recently appointed a fantastic project at a property in Bournemouth. The property owner wanted to give their stained glass door an upgrade with some repair work and encapsulation using triple glazing.

‍Getting to Work

‍When we arrived at the property in Bournemouth, we started by removing the stained glass door panels and taking them back to our workshop in Wimborne. Once at the workshop, the real work could begin. We started by giving the panels a good clean and polish, removing any excess dirt that has built up over time. We then completely re-leaded the panels to give them a fresh new look.

Stained glass encapsulation is a great method of improving the durability of panels, as well as increasing insulation. We re-fitted each sheet of stained glass between regular glass to form triple glazed units, ensuring they stay in great condition for years to come. Then, each panel was fitted into refurbished satin white metal frames for a classic yet modern finish.

We then re-visited the property for installation, where all our hard work came to life.

‍The Result

‍This stained glass door has certainly had a fantastic makeover – a brand new look and durability all in one! The homeowner was very pleased with the overall result.
